About Matt Borja
A New Perspective for Our Local School Board
Matt Borja is a Culpeper native, moving here with his family in 2003. After graduating from Eastern View in 2016, he attended George Mason University and Southern New Hampshire University for his undergraduate degree and completed his Master's degree in Criminal Justice in 2022. He has also served as a military paralegal in the Army Reserves since 2016, with two active duty tours at the Pentagon. Matt currently works as a bartender at Sweet Roux on Davis Street.
As a veteran and someone who has gone through the local school system recently, he understands the challenges that our students and teachers face. With his experience, he hopes to provide a fresh perspective and new solutions to the issues that our community faces.
Matt Borja is committed to making our schools a better place for everyone. He believes that every student deserves access to a quality education, and that our teachers deserve the support they need to succeed. With a family member serving as a paraeducator at Culpeper Middle School, these issues are personal to Matt. With your help, Matt can make a real difference in our community.
